Adam Tebrugge To Run For Florida House Of Representatives
Bradenton attorney and Sarasota resident Adam Tebrugge announces that he has opened a campaign to be elected to the Florida House of Representatives, District 71.
Tebrugge, 50, will seek the Democratic nomination for the seat presently held by Representative Jim Boyd. District 71 stretches from the Skyway Bridge in Manatee County, to Siesta Drive in Sarasota County, and includes most voters who live west of the Tamiami Trail.
Tebrugge was born in Tampa and is a graduate of New College of Florida and the Florida State University College of Law. He served for 23 years as an Assistant Public Defender for Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto counties.
In 2009, he opened Tebrugge Legal in downtown Bradenton.
Adam Tebrugge has served as President of the Sarasota County Civic League, Vice-Chair of the Sarasota Police Advisory Panel, and most recently, as Chair of the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
“As a student of the law and an advocate for the people, I’m concerned that public policy is out of balance in Tallahassee,” says Tebrugge. “I felt compelled to run to give a voice to the people of Manatee and Sarasota counties.”
Adam Tebrugge is married to Regina, who is an attorney, teacher and farmer. The couple lives in Sarasota and have two grown children.
