Chamber Awards CB’s Saltwater Outfitters for its Excellence in Customer Service

SARASOTA, Fla. (September 11, 2012) – The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce has presented CB’s Saltwater Outfitters with the Insignia Award for the month of September 2012. This award recognizes the achievement of quality customer service and commitment to the community.

Originally opened in 1956, CB's Saltwater Outfitters’ current owners, Aledia and Lee Tush, took over in 1976 and today operate the shop with their son, Mason Tush, III. CB’s retail store offers brand name men's and women's sportswear, shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen, as well as live and frozen bait, a complete tackle shop, boat rentals and fishing charters.

CB’s professional awards include the 2006 Siesta Key Chamber Small Business of the Year, 2011 Orvis Endorsed Outfitter of the Year, and Aledia Tush was awarded 1991 Small Business Person of the Year from the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce. CB’s attributes it success to taking great pride in serving the Sarasota community and the thousands of vacationers who visit every year.

The Insignia Award is sponsored by Insignia Bank which holds the distinction of being the highest initially capitalized bank in the history of the Sarasota/Bradenton market and is a locally owned community bank.  It remains one of the higher ranked banks by Bauer rating services with a three star rating and continues to retain its capital levels well over the highest capital status by regulatory measures as "Well Capitalized.” The bank continues to lend as evidenced with over 20% loan growth last year alone and plans on doing so again this year and is one of the faster growing banks from a deposit perspective in the market. Insignia Bank takes its role as a Community Bank very seriously, and as a result, it is proud to be the sponsor of the Insignia Award.

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce presents the Insignia Award to a company or organization each month in recognition of its quality service and commitment to the community under The Chamber’s Code of Ethics. Recipients are recognized at the popular after-hours event, First Monday.

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce is a 1600 member, not-for-profit organization that exists to maximize our members’ success, the community’s competitiveness, and the area’s economic strengths.  For more information, call 941-955-8187 or visit online at www.sarasotachamber.com.
