Local website design and internet marketing company Destiny Group is holding an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 1 at their new location in Sarasota (2801 Fruitville Rd., Suite 120) to celebrate 10 years in business. 

The event will be catered with an array of sushi by Jpan Restaurant and feature music by local favorite DJ Imminent. Destiny Group is also holding a photo contest at the party and giving away a free website to the winner or to the winner’s charity of choice (good towards new services only). Destiny Group was founded in 2002 in Maryland, primarily as an IT firm providing infrastructure for other businesses. With the explosion of the digital world, the company quickly expanded to meet demands.

“People saw our website and loved it, and started asking if we would build websites for them, too,” says Destiny Group President Gabriel Marguglio. “We went from being completely IT oriented and very technical into full service internet marketing and website design.”

Currently, Destiny Group provides easy to manage, search engine friendly, open source websites as well as internet marketing and search engine optimization. With a commitment to education, they also offer business coaching and hold bi-weekly luncheon workshops teaching how to use popular tools including Facebook, Pinterest and Google+ for business, and will hold their first full-day Facebook seminar on Fri., Aug. 10.

“Moving to Sarasota was the best thing I could have done,” says Marguglio. “I loved the area and got involved in the community right away. Destiny Group has grown very quickly in the last three years as a result. I found the right team to work with to expand my business and together we are able to serve clients better than before.
