"Make Every Day World AIDS Day" is a Sarasota
County-wide initiative sponsored by CARES Outreach Services, Inc. running through the month of November with various community partners. CARES, with Vertigo Designs, are winners of the State of Florida's logo for World AIDS Day 2012, to draw attention to the CDC's Campaign
to "Getting to Zero" ZERO New Infections. ZERO AIDS Related Deaths. ZERO Discrimination.
The month long initiative will culminate on December 1st with the 7th Annual AIDS Walk 2012 held at New College, Sudakoff Center and kicks off at 8:00 AM with a community continental breakfast sponsored by MASS, Inc, Tropicana, Atlanta Bread Co., Panera Bread and Aldi's and other community collaborators.
The 'AIDS Walk 2012' is co-chaired by Trinity Charities and New College and will take place on the beautiful campus of New College on Tamiami Trail in North Sarasota located near the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport. Teams are now being formed and over 500 walkers are expected. It is a pet-friendly environment and often walkers dress up their pets in festive costume. It is a fundraising campaign to
benefit Trinity Charities support services for those infected and affected by HIV. For more information or registration, go to www.trinitycharities.org. Registration can also be done the day of the event. Form a team and have your friends and family support your efforts by makeing a
pledge.
The Walk will start at 8 a.m. with food, raffles, music and
prizes.
CARES Outreach services will be there offering FREE HIV Screening - Rapid Test with 15 minute results! - for all to help strive towards "Getting To Zero" and promoting Education and Prevention.
