1. St. Armands Circle Art Festival
The 8th annual art festival will be returning to St. Armands Circle this weekend. The festival is free and runs from 10am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Get there early because parking will be at a premium.
2. 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'
The Sarasota Film Festival, as part of its Moonlight Movie series, is showing the children's film, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" tonight at Phillippi Shores Elementary School, 4747 S. Tamiami. Admission is free and the show starts at 7pm.
3. Downtown Arts & Crafts Show
The farmers market will not be the only event to stroll through this weekend in downtown Sarasota. The show will be along Main St., Pineapple Ave and 5 Points Park. The Arts & Crafts Show will benefit Wildlife Rehab and Education Center. The show is from 10am - 5pm.
4. Native American Indian Festival
Head to the Sarasota County Fair Grounds this weekend for the 4th annual Native American Indian Festival. Experience native arts, crafts and one-of-a-kind traditional Native American dances and drum performances. Friday, 10am - 5pm, Saturday, 10am - 6pm and Sunday 10am - 5pm. Adults are $7, children 6-12 are $3 and children under 5 are free. Friday is Kids day. Saturday and Sunday are Market days.
5. Sarasota Highland Games and Celtic Festival
Saturday at the Sarasota Fairgrounds is the Highland Games and Celtic Festival. The one-day event lasts until 5pm tonight. There will be the sound of pipes, dancers, Highland athletic events and even Border Collie demonstrations. Admission is free.
