If I had a nickel for every elderly driver who pulled in front of me WITHOUT LOOKING, I'd have a private jet with a pilot. They just don't have the ability to think through the traffic manoeuver of pulling out into traffic; it's too complex for them to look both ways and make a judgement call regarding oncoming traffic.
