Update: Missing 83-Year-Old Woman Found

Carlota Gonzalez had been missing since Sunday evening.

Update, 11:30am: According to the Sheriff's Office 83-year-old Carlota Gonzalez has been located in good condition and has returned home. A short time ago a resident of Village Walk, a neighborhood about a mile and a half north of the Isles of Palmer Ranch, found her in her back yard and called the Sheriff’s Office. 

Earlier: The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to search by air and ground for 83-year-old Carlota Gonzalez who remains missing this morning. Gonzalez has cognitive impairments and medical conditions that require treatment, according to the Sheriff's Office.

For 12 hours Monday, patrol deputies, K-9 teams, the Aviation Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Public Service Aides (PSA) searched the Isles of Palmer Ranch near the Ernesto Drive home Gonzalez disappeared from.

at 8:40am Monday. She was last seen wearing an orange nightgown but had a change of clothes in a pink bag that she is believed to have taken with her.

The Sheriff's Office said members of the Sarasota K-9 Search & Rescue (SSAR), the Palmer Ranch Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Sarasota County Fire Department also aided in the search of the area south Central Sarasota Parkway along Honore Avenue.
