Say "I Do" on Valentine's Day at Siesta Beach
The county said prizes will be awarded to the longest and newest married couples.
Valentine’s Day becomes extra special this year with the annual “Say I Do Again” wedding vow renewal ceremony. Hundreds of people will gather at the Siesta Beach Pavilion, 948 Beach Road on Siesta Key, at 6pm Monday, Feb. 14.
Organized by Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, the vow renewal ceremony is officiated by Judge Becky Titus, a county release said.
“Not surprisingly it is one of our most popular events,” said Jennifer Groff, Sarasota County Parks and Recreation program coordinator. “Sharing Florida’s best beach and a gorgeous sunset over the Gulf of Mexico with the person most special in your life just makes for a perfect evening.”
The county said prizes will be awarded to the longest and newest married couples. Marriage-Works, sponsor of “Say I Do Again,” will provide music and additional giveaways. Following the ceremony, couples will receive a commemorative certificate and enjoy ceremonial wedding cake from Beautiful Cakes by Ron.
This event is $5 a couple and preregistration is required. All participants must register by Feb. 11 at www.parksonline.scgov.net or by calling 941-861-7275.
