Soon, the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport will have a completed new look for passenger getting tickets and checking their luggage.
The airport today unveiled a new check-in area design to enhance passenger experience that airport officials plan to implement throughout the terminal.
“In two years the community will essentially have a new terminal and we are very excited to see this phase complete,” President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Piccolo stated.

The renovations are part of a master plan to renovate many areas of the airport. During the past two years, SRQ Airport has installed new escalators, renovated all the restrooms, replaced the chillers and HVAC systems, updated information technology infrastructure, updated the baggage screening system, resealed most of the building exterior and replaced the roof and skylights.
The remaining terminal renovations, which include the second level concourse, third level office facilities and baggage claim, will be completed over the next two to three years.
