Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a white male in his late teens to early twenties who witnesses say robbed the Troyers Dutch Heritage restaurant Tuesday night.

Deputies responded at 9:53 p.m. to the restaurant, 3713 Bahia Vista St., for the robbery and interviewed a victim who said she was in the parking lot when the suspect held a handgun and demanded her purse.

The victim then fled, deputies said. The man is said to be about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weigh 150 pounds. He wore dark colored jeans and a hooded sweatshirt.
