Hello Everyone,
Tara A McMahon here, an artist residing in Sarasota, with the continued exploits of trying to get my adventure and latest art project, The Shape of Language: An Exploration of Expression, off the ground. It took me to the Sarasota Sherifs office to obtain a copy of my fingerprints.
I was so looking forward to having inky fingers, but, like everything else, fingerprinting has gone digital. This probably means I have seen too many gritty police dramas on the tv.
They kindly made a copy of my fingerprints for me, once I paid the fee for them, so I can send them to the FBI so I can get the background check I need to send in with my visa application. It was an interesting experience, never having been finger printed before. I was helped by an efficient and friendly individual. I am now the proud owner of a set of fingerprints.
The paperwork you have to retrieve to send in with your Visa application makes you wonder if we really live in the digital age. I need to send a letter, notarized, requesting a certified copie of my current passport to send in with the Visa application. One would think we could do this on line some how.
A few more steps closer to the adventure in language.
To help with the funding of this project I have a Kickstarter campaign. You may visit the it here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1094258509/the-shape-of-language-an-exploration-of-expression
It would be wonderful if you came along on the journey and helped make it happen. Please check out my Kickstarter page and pass it along to friends. These types of campaigns work best with a community and word of mouth. I would love to share my adventure with you.
Everyone have a great week.
Tara
