Grant Peeples is a compelling and gritty performer whose fresh, honest, incisive, and eloquent songs will command your attention. He’s an original writer with a strong political awareness, writing for the little guys downtrodden by the world in the rush for ever greater prosperity. Grant Peeples was destined to become a songwriter at the age of 16 when he heard Dylan’s “Girl from the North Country.” He went on to drink in the works of classic country artists such as Lefty Frizzel, Guy Clark, and Merle Haggard. What resulted was a voice that Folk and Acoustic Music Exchange calls "laced with Waits, Cash, & Cohen." And a style that he proclaims “Leftneck.”

Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center is part of Peace Education and Action Center, serving as a facility to help fulfill its mission. It provides aid in four ways: providing a place for community groups to gather and converse about issues, cultivating the creation and the distribution of art and media that emphasize voices and perspectives that are softspoken, advocating expression and empowerment through the use of media and arts education and performance and making the Peace Education and Action Center's library and its resources more accessible to the public.
