One of the most prominent anchor stores at Westfield Sarasota Square Mall, JCPenney faces the Beneva side of the Mall, across the parking lot from Bank of America and next to Yoder's Marketplace.

Named after its founder, James Cash Penney, JC Penney's original store was called Golden Rule Store. JC Penney believed strongly in the Golden Rule and endeavored to treat his customers as he would like to be treated. This philosophy still guides today's JCPenney department store chain.

JC Penney opened that first store in 1902 in the rugged Wyoming territory supplying miners, frontiersmen, and farmers and their families with clothing, shoes, and household goods at affordable prices.

Providing a nearly one-stop shopping experience, JCPenney also offers home decorator services, a full service hair salon, optical center, and portrait studio, as well as a gift registry center.

JCPenney is a beloved American institution because it offers consumers quality merchandise at reasonable prices in an attractive store with friendly and caring staff.

I just paid $22.87 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $675 which only cost me $62.81 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from, TagCent.com
