WHAT: Transit-to-Greenspace: Bus Ride to City Island Park (rescheduled from June 24th)

Bring a bag lunch and comfortable shoes 

Sierra Club's National Green Transportation Director, Ann Mesnikoff, will be joining us from Washington, D.C. to dump the pump and try our transit system on July 8th. 

 Join us and you'll help send an important message to our decision-makers.

Transit funding across the country, and right here in Southwest Florida, is at risk. 

As budgets get squeezed, too many people feel transit is not an option for them, and not a priority.

One of the best ways to build support for public transit is to spread the word and get our friends and families to ride. Come out on July 8th and we'll take the bus to City Island Park and visit the Save Our Seabird Sanctuary with fellow Sierra Club members 

Our community is suffering from an addiction to oil that is made worse by our region's poor transportation infrastructure and congested roads. We need to shine a light on this problem, and you can help by joining us at this event.

You'll be showing the media, decision-makers, and most importantly our community that transit is vital!

 You can catch the bus from wherever you are if meeting at the Sierra Club office is inconvenient for you.

We'll walk to the Main Transfer Station Downtown located at 1st and Lemon Ave and take the #18 trolley departing for City Island at 11:05 am. Trolley departs City Island at :40 past every hour.
