Entire Faculty at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School to Attend Conference for Independent Schools

The entire faculty from Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School will be attending the National Association for Independent Schools (NAIS) conference on February 28, 2014 held in Orlando, Florida.

The conference, held annually for independent education leaders and staff, typically hosts more than 3,500 attendees. This year’s theme is: “Dare to Explore and Discover”. This event will give the faculty at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School a unique opportunity to travel to meet with teachers from the 1,400 other independent schools throughout the country. The conference will enable the Saint Stephen’s staff to share what they are doing while networking and learning about the newest trends from some of the top educators and researchers in the nation.

"The teachers at Saint Stephen's are the most important part of our school as it is their knowledge and their relationship with the students that make learning not only happen but be exciting,” said Dr. Jan Pullen, head of school at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal. “This is why we feel it is crucial for the entire Saint Stephen's faculty to attend the NAIS event. Being able to come together with teachers from other independent schools throughout the United States will allow them to not only share what they are doing but also to learn what are the newest trends in education from some of the top speakers in education."
