Halfacre Construction Awarded Gasparilla Road Project

The Charlotte County Commission announced Lakewood Ranch based Halfacre Construction Company has been selected for the Gasparilla Road (CR 771) improvements project.

The $25 million project will include widening CR 771 to a four lane divided roadway from SR 776 to the vicinity of Rotonda Boulevard East, installation of sidewalks and bicycle facilities, construction of a bridge, and all new utilities.

“We are proud to have been chosen for this important project that is a much needed addition to the region,” said Andy Stultz, vice-president at Halfacre Construction, and President of the Enterprise Charlotte Economic Development Council. “Not only will it improve the evacuation route for residents of Boca Grande and others, but this project will also certainly help our local economy, providing better access for the region,” he said.
