Manatee County Law Duo Opens Mediation & Conference Center

Attorneys Trent and Lesa Miller will unveil the Florida Mediation & Conference Center, a 5,000-square-foot facility located at 887 62nd St. Cir. E. in Bradenton, at an open house and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The event, open to the public, elected officials and dignitaries, will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 4 – 7 p.m. and will begin with a ribbon cutting by the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce.

The Florida Mediation & Conference Center is one of the only facilities of its kind in the state. Intentionally created with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the Center includes a mock courtroom for trial prep and educational opportunities, eight small conference rooms and three large conference rooms, a training room with classroom facilities, cameras set up by a jury consultant and one-way glass in the mock courtroom for observers.

“Bringing a state-of-the-art facility like this one to our region has been a goal of ours for quite some time, and it is exciting to see it come to fruition,” said Trent Miller, a Lakewood Ranch resident and Manatee County attorney. “Lesa and I hope that attorneys, schools and small business owners will take advantage of the plentiful resources we will have available for them at the Center. For attorneys and mediators, the venue offers neutral ground for all parties to meet,” he said.

The Millers expect the mock courtroom to be used for witness preparation and educational purposes, and that statewide mediators will use the center as a satellite office. Additionally, small business owners needing a larger space for meetings or other attorneys hosting large gatherings or events can use the conference rooms.
