The Rev. Nathan Speck-Ewer, Chaplain of Saint Stephen's Episcopal School in Bradenton, was elected to serve a three-year term (starting in 2014 and ending in 2017) on the Board of Trustees at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Father Nathan is a 1997 graduate of The University of the South (BA, English Language and Literature with departmental honors). Following graduate studies at the Divinity School at Yale, Speck-Ewer served parishes and schools in Connecticut, California, and Florida. Among his many responsibilities as the Chaplain of Saint Stephen’s, Father Nathan coaches the moral and character development of Saint Stephen’s students, pilots a program for instructional coaching of faculty and teaches 9th grade English.
