University Park Women Golfers Present HOPE Family Services with $8,000

The 9-hole University Park Ladies' Golf Association (LGA) and Head Teaching Pro, Sue Ertl, present HOPE Family Services in Bradenton their 2014 donation!

This $8000 check represents profit from the November 2013 HOPE Golf Tournament.  This is the third year the 9 Hole LGA has had a HOPE tournament raising a total of $30,000.  The League has had the wonderful support of the MGA, the LGA, the Pros and the University Park Country Club Management in this effort. The goal of the fundraising has been to beautify and upgrade the outdoor play and leisure area at the HOPE Family Services shelter in Bradenton, a shelter for abused women and children.  The first year's funds built an outdoor pavilion.  The next two year's profit was used as seed money to obtain a large grant from the Selby Foundation.  Presently the shelter is in the process of a total renovation of the outdoor area.
