Five Things: Streaker, Big Mac Diet and more...

Here are five things we thought you should know about today!

Streaker Has a Checkered Past: The 19-year-old Bradenton man arrested for streaking at a Tampa Bay Rays game is no stranger to hijinks-related arrests, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Charles Ross has been arrested in the past for back-flipping over a cop and for handing out wedgies at a movie theater.

The Big Mac Diet?: Imagine putting away 10 Big Macs a week and not gaining a ton of weight or logging high cholesterol reports at your doctor’s office. According to the Huffington Post, that’s exactly what 64-year-old Dennis Rosenlof has done. He’s reportedly eaten a total of 12,000 Big Macs over a three-decade period.

Experience a Nightmare on Franklin Street: Love your horror old school and on the big screen? Check out the Tampa Theatre’s lineup for October for some great finds. From classic Hitchcock flicks like “Psycho” to cult hits such as “The Blair Witch Project,” the scares span several weeks. There are even a few ghost story tours planned. Check out the Tampa Theatre’s website for details and to get tickets in advance.

MacDill Security Coming Under Review: In the wake of Monday’s deadly shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, the military plans to review security at bases all over the world. That review will include Tampa’s own MacDill Air Force Base, according to The Tampa Tribune. Are you concerned about security at MacDill?

More Stormy Weather Possible: The National Weather Service says Bay area residents have about a 50 percent chance of seeing scattered thunderstorms today, Sept. 19. On the upside, rain chances diminish a bit heading into the weekend.
