Thanks to a brilliant business plan based on affinity agreements between Omega Communities, LLC and select local churches, Sarasota County is the future home of two assisted living and memory care campuses. Omega Communities works with qualified investors in the development, financing and operation of premier senior living communities built on land leased through partnerships with faith-based organizations; in turn, the organization receives a percentage of the profits. This unique relationship is creating an opportunity for the partnering organizations to convert some of their underutilized land into a much needed resource for the people they serve as well as the surrounding markets. Omega Communities’ executives bring with them over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. “I’ve been in this business world for a very long time and this is the first business model I’ve seen that creates a win-win-win-win-win,” says Pat Trammell, Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Omega Communities, “it’s a win for the county, it’s a win for the churches, it’s a win for the residents of the communities, it’s a win for Omega’s principle executives, and it’s a win for our investors.”

Omega Communities already has two projects under way in Sarasota County; The Fountains of Hope, at the Church of Hope off of Wendell Kent Road in Sarasota and The Springs at South Biscayne Church off of Tamiami Trail in North Port. According to a report prepared by Economic Policy Resources, the total economic impact on Sarasota County is estimated to be in excess of $30 million, per year, once both facilities are completed. Omega Communities plans to use their business model to develop three to five new communities per year for the next 10 years.

The development of The Fountains of Hope will create 150 – 200 jobs for the Sarasota area during the construction phase. The completed facility will then require a staff of over 100 full time employees. Omega Communities has an estimated completion date for The Fountains of Hope in the third quarter of 2015. “What makes our facilities different are the pastors,” states James Taylor, Jr., Chief Operating Officer of Omega Communities, “with over ten thousand people turning 65 each day there is a great need for senior communities where families immediately feel safe entrusting the care of themselves or their loved ones.”

The Fountains of Hope in Sarasota will be a newly constructed 90,000 square foot assisted living and memory care community offering 106 residences on a 10-acre parcel on the campus of the Church of Hope. All of Omega Communities’ designs are based on purpose-driven features and amenities including dining areas, outdoor patios, outdoor courtyards and private residences. Omega Communities has engaged Life Care Services, an LCS company, to manage the residences.
