Register Now for New Dance Appreciation Classes at SCTI

The Sarasota Internationial Dance Festival, the presenting organization of the Carreno Dance Festival, announces a new series of dance appreciation classes given by Robert de Warren, president of the Festival, for the Adult Community Enrichment prgram of Sarasota County Technical Institute.  Two sets of classes will take place at the new SCTI complex at 4748 Beneva Road in Building 3-114 Dance Studio.  The first set of classes held weekly beginning Ocdtober 3rd and ending the 24th from 1- 3 pm offers an indepth look at how ballet began and its amazing development through the last three hundred years.  The second set of classes beginning October 31st and continuing weekly through November 21st from 1 - 3 pm provides an overview of modern and contemporary dance.  Registration information may be obtained by calling 941 361-6590.  Cost is $76 for the Ballet class or the Modern Class.
