WILLIS SMITH: EVOLVING WITH THE LANDSCAPE

SARASOTA, FL – The familiar face of Willis Smith Construction’s logo posted around town will receive a modern renovation of its own starting July 26th. The company made the decision to restructure the logo for only the 3rd time in the company’s 42 year history.

Working with Manatee based brand design firm Boost Studio, Willis Smith Construction made the decision to streamline the logo to better represent the brand as its own company, while still paying homage to the company’s history. The design still reflects the familiar red and black banding but with a rejuvenated simplicity. The design is a modern, professional feel that echoes the company’s evolution throughout the years. The familiar “A” of Willis Smith Construction has been removed in conjunction with giving the name a more prominent and bold appearance. David Sessions, President and CEO of Willis Smith, said “finding a new image to represent who we are now as a company, while maintaining brand recognition and history was our priority.  This design does just that. In addition, our clients, subcontractors, and the community refer to us as simply ‘Willis Smith’ - the logo change reflects this”.

The company plans to begin the roll out with its job site signs. The most prominent display will be at the corner of Main Street and Ringling Boulevard at the firm’s current renovation of the historic Sarasota County Court House Clay Tile Roof.
