Decor Direct Wholesale Warehouse Is A Decorator's BFF

Help! I need new furniture! But not just any furniture, there is a new trend among interior design that is somewhat rustic; incorporating antiques, homemade items and modern pieces.

I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect rustic coffee table, so, I’ve stopped in on several area businesses to get ideas and do a little pricing.

All the unique shops I’ve encountered since I moved have been really amazing. Take Décor Direct Wholesale Warehouse, 2333 Whitfield Park Loop, Sarasota, for example. The primarily wholesale business is open to the public from Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for retail purchases. They feature furniture and items from all over the world.

Entering their showroom is a little overwhelming; I was immersed in an atmosphere of whimsical art, sustainable recycled furniture, antiques and handcrafted accessories from many different cultures.

While most of the furniture items were a little too pricy for me, I found lots of decorations for under $100, like ornamental mirrors, antique glass crab trap buoys and carved wood side tables.

I even found a few hand-made coffee tables for around $300!

Décor Direct has been in business fro 27 years and has been located in Sarasota for 16 years. The little gem is worth a look. I really enjoyed my visit!
