Grocery Discounts, Opera Singles – and a Baby Gator

Looking for work, opera tickets or a deal on groceries? Here's a quick list to keep Sarasota residents in the know for Wednesday, July 31.

1.) Who Isn't Looking for a Deal? If you could get groceries and cosmetics for 20% to 60% off, would you seize the deal? Then plan a trip to the Village Cupboard, described as a scratch 'n dent store. It's located at 3667 Bahia Vista St., Sarasota, FL, right beside Der Dutchman Restaurant.

2.) Who's Looking for a Job? If you're seeking work in Sarasota, you've come to the right place. Have you checked out the Sarasota Patch jobs page?. It's almost too easy to use. The tab is on the Home Page, but you can also just check them out here.

3.) Baby Gator at the Fruitville Library: Here's a quirky video recently posted to YouTube and shared on the Sarasota Patch. It shows a baby gator swimming in a pond next to the Fruitville Library. Cute little fellow, isn't he?

Special City Commission Meeting: A special meeting of the city commission is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 1565 First Street, Sarasota.
