Seen On YouTube: Parkour Training On Siesta Key

A visiting musician to Siesta Key captured these scenes of parkour training on Siesta Key.

Check out this YouTube video posted in February of parkour exercise/training on Siesta Key.

Mickey Coviello is a member of a band called Cabinet, and the Wilkes Barre-Scanton-area resident just happened to be on Siesta Key with some nice filmmaking equipment. He wrote that he spotted these people doing parkour and just wanted to shoot the action.

So, what's parkour? It's essentially jumping off of objects, sometimes used in free running, too, but it serves as an armed forces tactic and training for evasive maneuvers. Looks pretty fun.

The '80s-esque aerobics workout music you hear in the video is not of Cabinet. Cabinet has a folk sound to them, with fiddles and banjos galore. If you like Avett Brothers, Zach Brown Band and Bright Eyes, then you might want to check out Cabinet.
