ATOMIC HOLIDAY BAZAAR, SEASON 8 SARASOTA, FLORIDA'S ORIGINAL INDIE ARTS & CRAFT SHOW

Atomic Holiday Bazaar begins its eighth season in two weeks on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, 12PM to 5PM at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium and the Bay Front Room.  Admission into the Main Auditorium is $5 for adults, 12 & under are free.

This year Atomic has 165 vendors working either one or both days, many who live in Sarasota, a huge percentage of vendors driving in from every corner of Florida and a sprinkle of out of state vendors.

Atomic was created in 2006, while there were a lot of Sarasota craft shows there were none to represent the nationwide indie craft movement.  “Indie” stems from the word independent which equates to a more grass roots business/lifestyle, punk to organic, street cred, i.e., not found in Big Box stores.

This season, Atomic Holiday Bazaar has partnered with Sarasota’s not-for-profit/non-kill cat shelter, the Cat Depot.  A raffle with donated indie craft by Atomic vendors will go to one lucky winner with funds benefiting the Cat Depot.  Models selling raffle tickets, dressed in vintage will be styled by Fringe Spa & Salon who have graciously donated their time to assist in the fund drive for Cat Depot.

The Atomic tote bag handout tradition continues, with ongoing sponsor, Clothesline, screen printing tote’s with this year’s Atomic logo.  Totes are filled with Atomic swag and passed out by Sarasota’s local roller derby league the North River Rolling Renegades at each show to the first 100 adults who enter the auditorium.
