Heads up, Sarasota parents: The Sarasota County School District has released its list of important dates for the 2013-14 school year.
Here’s a look at the 2013-14 school calendar:
- Monday, Aug. 19, 2013: School opens
- Monday, Sept. 2, 2013: Labor Day Holiday
- Friday, Oct. 25, 2013: No School For Students (Teacher Work Day)
- Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Nov. 29, 2013: Thanksgiving Holiday
- Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 through Friday, Jan. 3, 2014: Winter Break
- Monday, Jan. 20, 2014: Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
- Monday, Feb. 17, 2014: Presidents' Day Holiday
- Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 14: Spring Break
- Friday, March 28, 2014: No School For Students (Teacher Work Day)
- Friday, April 18, 2014: Mini Break
- Monday, May 26, 2014: Memorial Day Holiday
