Firehouse Subs On Tamiami Has Closed
Find out what's coming in place of what used to be a Firehouse Subs and Dunkin' Donuts in Sarasota.
Bad news for fans of Firehouse Subs: the Tamiami Trail location in Sarasota has closed its doors.
The building at 1575 S. Tamiami Trail, which up until just recently was home to the popular sandwich shop chain and which also once housed a Dunkin' Donuts, is being converted into a bank.
Construction crews were gutting the building Monday afternoon and the Firehouse sign had been removed.
A sign in front of the building said a Bank United is "coming soon."
The Firehouse Subs website no longer lists the Tamiami location, only shops at 5416 Fruitville Rd. and 4409 Bee Ridge Rd. in Sarasota.
