Simply Spoiled Boutique Teases Your Senses

This is the first in a series of features of local businesses in Sarasota.

Simply Spoiled, a sumptuous bath and body boutique at 1471 Main Street, definitely lives up to its name.

Tease your senses with a dazzling array of aromas, displays, and textures and melt away the day’s stress in a few deep breaths.

That’s when the owner, Vanessa Opstal, steps forward to greet you, smiling and encouraging you to explore the boutique, sample the makeup, try on perfumes, smell the candles, use the soaps, and so much more.

Just ask and your needs are answered. Not sure which makeup is best? Opstal has already figured it out for you as she gracefully leads you over to a display.

Want to try a product? There is a sample of each and every item the boutique carries. Opstal and her staff happily invite you to play, explore and try something new. In the process, they will tell you about each product and guide you to the ones best suited for you.

Offering everything from the popular European vegan makeup line, The Balm, to shaving products for men, Simply Spoiled prides itself in supporting local businesses such as Lolablue as well as selling famous brand names like Smashbox.

Have you thought about trying a new look? Aren’t sure which makeup to use if you’re experiencing a breakout or dry skin?

Opstal offers free makeovers and tips, just call the store to make an appointment.

“We host girl’s night out, private parties and we will even do your makeup for your wedding,” says Opstal.

A mother of four, Opstal has a special place in her heart for local organizations that benefit children. She volunteers her time at Girls, Inc. and is committed to supporting local nonprofits, businesses and artists.

Opstal invites you to hold your next event at the boutique, too.

“Every time we have a special event, I invite local businesses to join us and then we ensure that a portion of the proceeds benefit the nonprofit of your choice,” she says.

Having been on Main Street now for the past two years, Opstal is pleased that business continues to be good.

Mark, this simply makes absolutely no sense at all. Matter of fact, It's 'safer' to back into a spotRead More than pulling forward. Mark, prior to backing in a spot, you already have a full visual of in front of you. Then, as you go to leave,. it's much safer to pull out, than to back out. Mark, you have this wrong pal and I'd love to see the data which lead you to believe that it's dangerous to back into a spot, versus pulling into it. I'm going to challenge you on this one Mark, and will do so when I go to court when I purposely get a ticket.

Does the convenience of reading a license plate supersede the safety of backing in and then headingRead More out?

Maybe not. I agree on the safety issue. The question needs to be, does the need of the police to beRead More able to read the plates supersede the safety concern? To be sure, there will be the usual crowd complaining about government (any government) intrusion, yada, yada, but that's the point that needs to be settled. If the police would agree that seeing the plates isn't necessary, then the entire issue would go away.

Try accepting that it was their time to go. No matter the way or the time, what will be will be.Read More It's not about blaming or getting "justice", death always happens when it is meant to...there are no accidents, only the circumstances and means that come into play to assist the transition of those who are leaving this world, in order for them to reach the next. Your grief is understandable, I am sorry for your great loss.
