Swing From the Tree Tops Starting Saturday

East Manatee County gets a recreational adventure course, including zip lines and treetop walkways, as TreeUmph! opens for business.

Southwest Florida’s first treetop obstacle course, which include zip lines, wobbly bridges, hanging nets and bungee swings, will host a grand opening Saturday,  from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

TreeUmph! Adventure Course officially opens to the public with a grand opening celebration featuring 10% off tickets, prizes and refreshments.

“Our guides are ready and the course is complete,” said Aaron Corr, who owns TreeUmph! Adventure Park with his wife and partner, Kathy. “We look forward to offering a new form of outdoor entertainment to our local community, and giving tourists another reason to enjoy Sarasota and Manatee Counties.”

All park guests who make reservations for Jan. 12, or Sunday, Jan. 13, will receive 10% off the price of admission. As part of Saturday's celebration TreeUmph! will give away free T-shirts, pizza and beverages, and even a free season pass to one visitor.

With five progressively difficult courses for adults and children ages 7 and up, adventurers of all skill levels will make their way along a self-guided tour through the treetops.

The challenges include wobbly bridges, hanging nets, bungee swings, an exhilarating 650-foot-long ZIP line and more. Guests can stop at any time and are always harnessed to the industry’s most sophisticated safety equipment. Seniors can get a special half-course ticket option.

The Base Camp at TreeUmph! Adventure Course includes ticket sales, a visitor’s center, snack and gift shop, and picnic area. Every guest is required to complete the Harness Course, where they will learn the rules of the park, how to use the climbing gear and the mandatory safety procedures. Some height, weight and age restrictions do apply.

Special offers and Early Bird discounts are available, with standard pricing ranging from $25.95 for the Children’s Ticket to $34.95 for the Adult Half Ticket and $49.95 for the Adult Full Ticket.
