Trader Joe's Recalls Valencia Creamy Salted Peanut Butter

Trader Joe's peanut butter linked to salmonella outbreak, according to reports.

Trader Joe's is recalling its Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter after several health concerns, and a reported salmonella outbreak.

Trader Joe's posted the following notice about the 16-ounce peanut butter on its website:

We have no confirmed information that suggests this peanut butter is unsafe to eat, but there is nothing more important to us than the health and safety of our customers and crew, and the quality of our products. As such, if you purchased this product, please do not eat it. We encourage you to return the product to any Trader Joe's for a full refund or dispose of it.

The Providence Journal in Rhode Island reports that 29 people nationwide reported they were sick after using the peanut butter, which has use by dates of May 23, 2013 through June 28, 2013.
