Fawley Bryant to Design New Microbrewery for Darwin’s Brewing Company in Downtown Bradenton

Fawley Bryant has been engaged by Darwin’s Brewing Company of Sarasota to plan and design a new microbrewery in downtown Bradenton. The 6,000 s.f. facility will include a full production microbrewery, tasting room and a beer garden/outdoor music venue.

Rick Fawley, President of Fawley Bryant remarked, “This Microbrewery will further enhance the revitalization efforts by the City Council, Downtown Development Authority, Realize Bradenton and the County Tourist Development Council to capitalize on previous investment in the southeast Downtown area adjacent to the Village of the Arts.  Recent improvements such as the Riverwalk and the award winning McKechnie Field renovation have helped to attract more retail and businesses to the Downtown. This is exactly the type of positive economic impact anticipated when the City committed to invest in the area master plan that focuses on McKechnie and the Village as entertainment magnets.”

As planned, the new Darwin’s microbrewery will continue to host tasting events and social gatherings as they do at their facility in Sarasota, however the additional tasting area will offer samplings of Darwin’s signature brews while observing the brewing process through large glass windows. Tours through the brewery, lectures from Jorge Rosabal, and live music will be offered both inside and in the landscaped beer garden, and Darwin’s famous Urban Street food will be available for purchase from a Darwin’s Food Truck occasionally stationed on the site.

Fawley Bryant was also the architect for the recent improvements to McKechnie Field which has drawn record-breaking attendance since it opened for Spring Training in March of 2013 and has been selected for the 2013 Florida Planning and Zoning Association’s design excellence award.
