Louies Modern captures Florida Trend Best New Restaurant Award

Bringing a new urban dining concept and experience to Sarasota has proven to be highly successful for Louies Modern, which was recently honored with a 2013 Best New Restaurant award Florida Trend.  The annual award is part of the annual Golden Spoon Awards, which recognizes the culinary and dining leaders in the state.

Citing ambiance, hospitality, food and the restaurant’s notable handcrafted cocktails, Restaurant Editor Chris Sherman noted in his write up and selection of Louies Modern: “Newest high-end dining downtown is hip casual and slamming. It’s a spinoff from the Seidenstickers of Libby’s, named for dad instead of mom. Bang into short rib burgers, 48-hour pork chops, wood-oven duck or ease into sweet potato taquitos or spaghetti squash pomodoro. Very smart drinking.”
