North Port EDC expands advisory board

North Port, Fl, 8/5/13: The North Port Economic Development Corporation (NPEDC) announced today that three new members have been added to their advisory board. According to NPEDC Chair Robert Rosenberg, “To sit on our advisory board you must be the senior company representative responsible for Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.” The new board members are

Jim Kelly - Market President BB&T Bank. According to Jim “. I am excited about what the organization brings to the region and the direction they are going to attract business that are needed to grow the area and provide jobs and services for the diverse population. This is our future and the future for our children and I would like to be a part of it.”

Kaley Miller - Manager, Communications The Mosaic Company. According to Kaley, “ I am very interested in the future economic growth and development of the North Port community. North Port has many geographic and ecological advantages, and has great potential to be the grounds for innovative development and economic investments.”

Tom Esselman - President/CEO Institute for the Ages. According to Tom, “ The Institute for the Ages needs to anchor its positioning as the leading change agent for innovation in aging with a greater integration into South Sarasota County. The North Port EDC provides an ideal platform for that integration.”

The addition of these new members will bring the Advisory Board up to 15 regional leaders. “It is exciting to see the advisory board grow. The talent, insight, vision and resources these leaders bring to the table guide the NPEDC in its strategic planning and execution,” stated Peter Bartolotta, NPEDC president.
