Salvatore Scro to head Band Weintraub's litigation

Aug. 12, 2013 / Sarasota, Fla. — Salvatore G. Scro, Esq., has joined the Sarasota law firm of Band Weintraub, P.L., as a partner and head of its litigation department. Mr. Scro is admitted to the Florida, New York and Washington, D.C., bars; and is admitted to practice in the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida.
 
Mr. Scro's practice focuses on complex construction, commercial and civil litigation, as well as representation of homeowners and condominium and homeowner associations in complex construction defect litigation and turnover matters throughout Southwest and Central Florida. Other areas of concentration include business, civil and personal injury litigation matters; matrimonial and family law; and commercial and residential real estate transactions both in Florida and New York.

After receiving his juris doctorate in 1987 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Lansing, Mich.), Mr. Scro established his own practice in Syracuse, N.Y. (1988-2006). Mr. Scro has volunteered his time for various legal organizations, including serving as a civil arbitrator in Syracuse City Court; serving as defense counsel for indigent in landlord-tenant cases; providing pro bono representation of clients; and providing legal consultation through county tel-law programs. He is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Basketball Officials Association.
