Syprett Meshad adds new associate to legal team

Oct. 31, 2013 / Sarasota, Fla. — The Sarasota-based law firm of Syprett Meshad has expanded its legal team with the hiring of Derek W. Eisemann, who joins the firm as an Associate Attorney. Eisemann's practice is focused on representing plaintiffs in all aspects of personal injury matters, as well as other areas of civil litigation, including real estate.

Prior to joining Syprett Meshad, Eisemann worked for a statewide insurance defense firm, traveling throughout central and south Florida defending primarily against fraudulent medical claims. His experience includes representing insurance companies in cases involving automobile accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability, and construction defect litigation.

Eisemann earned his law degree in 2011 from the Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Fla., where he received the book awards in Commercial Law, Tax and Estate Planning, and Legal Writing. He took his undergraduate degrees from Florida State University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Risk Management /Insurance and Real Estate from the school’s College of Business.

A member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, Eisemann serves on various committees in the Young Lawyers Division. He was born and raised in Sarasota, Fla., and is a 2001 graduate of Sarasota High School.
