Experienced Florida Builder Michael Rego Joins John Neal Homes

Michael Rego has joined John Neal Homes as Vice President of Home Building.

Southwest Florida— Michael Rego has joined John Neal Homes as Vice President of Home Building.  Rego will spearhead the new home builder’s growth and expansion in the custom home market in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

Rego has more than 30 years of experience in the residential and commercial real estate industries. A Tampa Bay native, he is a second-generation builder who began as a framing contractor for his family business.  He’s worked in the Sarasota real estate market for the past 10 years and has built 115 homes in Lakewood Ranch alone.

Rego has worked for other notable builders including Lennar Homes, Pulte Homes, Arthur Rutenberg Homes and most recently John Cannon Homes. He has been involved in every aspect of the home building process from purchasing, sales, and development, to design and construction.

He is also deeply rooted in the community. Rego is Immediate Past President of the Sarasota/Manatee Home Builder’s Association, and served on the Board for five years. In his spare time he is a licensed Soccer coach and an athlete who takes part in triathlons, marathons, and duathlons.
