Cloverleaf Corporation has hired 360 Degrees PR & Marketing and HuB Studios to create and promote a video trailer for the first book in the Award Winning Montooth Book Series. Directed by HuB Studios’ Lucas Colavecchio and Joey Panek, the video is being timed to coincide with the autumn publication date of the third book in the Montooth quintet, Montooth 3: Red Cross of Gold. The book is set in the 1950’s, so special steps are being taken to authenticate the video including costume design and props.
Montooth Books are written by accomplished businessman, Award Winning author and Anna Maria Island resident Robert Jay, who has sold more than 20,000 books in his series, worldwide. HuB studios will cast, direct and produce a professional video trailer of the first book, Montooth and the Canfield Witch, to be released this fall.
The first of five books in the Carty Andersson young adult series is a 441-page novel, centered on the fable of Montooth, a massive alligator born thinking he was a duck. Montooth and the Canfield Witch begins with the spirited 14-year-old female main character leading her male friends on a heart-thumping journey through the Florida swamps near Sarasota in 1950. Deep in the swamp, they discover the last descendant of a family chased out of Salem, Massachusetts by Seventeenth Century witch hunters. The recluse now thought of as a witch by many townspeople, is being dogged by a band of treasure hunters, under the impression that there are riches on her property. Carty, the main character and an accomplished young archer, leads her crew on an adventurous journey to protect the recluse.
Cloverleaf Corporation will display the video in mall kiosks and bookstores during the holidays to promote the series.
Montooth Books are available through the official Montooth website www.montoothbooks.com and on Amazon, as well as on Kindle as e-books.
About the author: When Robert Jay’s children were young, he read to them nearly every evening. As they grew older, his daughter preferred stories “from his own head.” Shortly after Christmas in 1989, he was finishing up a three-year assignment in West Germany while hisfamily had already relocated back to the United States. Over a couple of lonely evenings, he penned a short children’s story “from his own head” and mailed it to his daughter. Nearly 20 years later, that little handwritten tale became the inspiration for The Legend of Montooth, which evolved into the novel, Montooth and the Canfield Witch.
Awards for Montooth and the Canfield Witch include: Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Literary Award for Historical Fiction, Young Voices Foundation Award for Young Adult Fiction, Young Voices Foundation Award for Adult Fiction, Young Voices Foundation Award for YoungAdult Mystery/Suspense, and was ranked #1 on the My Magazine for Girls Teen Book List.
Robert Jay holds a business degree from Kent State University and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis. A twenty-four year international banker, he presided over the 135-branch US Military Banking system in West Germany, Holland and Greece during the years immediately before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Since 1992, he has been the president of a national highway safety company in Florida and he holds a number of patents for safety devices on roads. He resides with his wife, Hildegard, on Anna Maria Island where they entertain five grandchildren as often as possible. He looks forward to when they are old enough to read the fables in his books!
