Where Is the Best Lunch Spot in Sarasota?

Today Patch launches a weekly "best of" contest celebrating great products and services at local businesses. Let your voice be heard. Vote in our poll!

Today we kick off a weekly Patch contest that celebrates great local businesses. We are inviting readers to share their favorite places and services, from restaurants to entertainment. (See the poll below.)

Each week we will publish a different poll and ask readers to vote. We debut the poll today by asking readers to vote on the best lunch spots in Sarasota. Here are some of our favorite places. If we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it.

The poll closes at 9 a.m. Friday, and we will announce the winner by noon Friday. The winner will get a big shoutout from Sarasota Patch and an awesome "Best of" plaque to post on the wall of their business.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

BOND needs to be added. They have great Club Sandwiches and you sit outside that great 1920's building.

How about Italian mainstays Amici & Baci - we enjoy lunch at both! Also, the Ritz offers a wonderful 3-course prix fixe lunch (their only meal deal) for $22.

The best sandwich on earth is "The Surfer" at Anna's Deli on Orange Ave next door to St Martha's Church. There is none that can even come close!
