Eat Here in Downtown Sarasota Now Open For Lunch

About a Dozen Contemporary Gulf Coast Specialties Served in a Relaxed Urban Park Setting

It’s official, the Sarasota eat here is now open for lunch as well as dinner. Responding to customer demand, owner and operator Sean Murphy has selected ten specialties that express the best in contemporary Gulf Coast cuisine, but that are especially tempting for either light or hearty luncheon appetites. Some of these eat here dishes include: seafood tacos, meatloaf sandwich, signature Seattle grilled-cheese sandwich (with bacon and tomato if you choose), creamy bistro-style tomato soup with Maytag bleu cheese crumbles, Caesar salad with baby kale served with grilled shrimp on the side, signature hot dog, juicy bistro burger, poutine (house fries and demi-glace with a healthy dose of Parmesan cheese), and occasional daily surprises just to keep things interesting. Enticing beverage offerings range from passionberry iced tea and soft drinks to fresh-squeezed lemonade and iced cappucino brewed from locally roasted coffee beans.

Lunch at eat here is served Monday-Friday from 11:30 until 2:30. Enjoy lunch indoors at both traditional and community tables, on the covered deck, and in the park patio around the fountain. Murphy’s unpretentious eat here is located at 1888 Main Street in Sarasota’s most popular urban park. It’s a relaxing spot where you can watch the world go by while savoring the most satisfying and innovative lunch in the city.

The Sarasota eat here is part of the Sean Murphy family of restaurants, composed of three eat here restaurants in Sarasota, Siesta Key and Anna Maria Island, and the award-winning and nationally acclaimed Beach Bistro on Anna Maria Island. Over the past 27 years, the Beach Bistro has received so many Golden Spoon awards from Florida Trend that the restaurant is now in the publication’s Hall of Fame. Consistent "highest ranking” from Zagat, Wine Spectator and Bon Appetit place Beach Bistro among the cuisine stars in America. Murphy’s culinary team has done two dinners at the esteemed James Beard Foundation in New York.
