13th Annual Principals' Luncheon: VIVA Innovation! VIVA Arts!

The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County will hold its Annual Principals Recognition Luncheon on November 13 in the Grand Foyer of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The celebration, under the theme VIVA Innovation! VIVA Arts!, will honor Sarasota County school principals for their school’s achievements in arts education for the past year, including awards, performances, major projects and events, new staff, program and expanded facilities.  

The keynote speaker at the event will be David Rovine, Vice President of Baltimore Orioles-Sarasota, who will speak about innovation and reinvention. Angela Hartvigsen, Fine Arts Program Specialist for Sarasota County Schools, will report on the State of Arts Education in the Schools, including numbers of arts educators, programs and courses.  Featured performers will be the Booker Middle Dance Program and Booker High Jazz Combo. An exhibit of elementary student art will be on display.
