Art Uptown Gallery Features Pottery & Fiber Art in “Thrown & Sewn”

Art Uptown, Sarasota’s
 oldest continuously operated cooperative fine art gallery, features guest artists Mary Chadsey, Nancy Morris and Carole Reiss during October in an exhibition of pottery and fiber art entitled “Thrown and Sewn.” The show runs from Sept. 28 to Oct. 25, with an artists’ reception scheduled for Oct. 4, 6-9 p.m., at the gallery.  A “body butter” demonstration will also be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at the gallery, featuring ceramic pots designed to contain organic butters and essential oils that are used to nourish the skin.
