Artist Presentation

Annie Morrison Opens Hermitage Artist Series At
Historic Asolo

Local actress, singer, storyteller
and playwright, Annie Morrison will kickoff the Hermitage Artists of Our Time
series at the Historic Asolo Theater on Thursday, October 24th, at
7:00 pm. Winner of the Theatre World Award, Drama-Logue Award and United Solo
Festival Best Actress Award, Morrison will perform samples of her work as she
weaves the story of her theatrical career and her present endeavors as a solo
artist. The Historic Asolo Theater is located at 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota.
The presentation is free to museum members and same day museum ticket holders.
All others pay $5. To place a reservation, contact the box office at
941-360-7399.

“As a Sarasota
County artist, Annie was awarded her residency as a recipient of the Arts and
Cultural Alliance’s John Ringling Towers Award in 2011,” remarked Bruce E.
Rodgers, Hermitage Executive Director. “She used that time to develop some of
the solo plays she is now presenting locally, as well as to sell-out audiences
in New York City. Annie has so many talents, including being a master
storyteller. Anyone who comes on October 24th is in for an
interesting and entertaining evening.”
