The Andrew Tian Memorial Trust Fund  is non profit and was established to assist Alex, his son, to continue his education following the violent, tragic death of his father.

Andrew was a trusted, well loved, and loyal manager at the New Dynasty Chinese Restaurant. 

One night last July, he went out into the parking lot to stop some

young men who were skipping out on paying their check.  He was struck,

fell to the ground, where he suffered severe head trauma which would

prove to be fatal 5 days later.  The assailant is serving 15 years.

Andrew left rural China with his family nearly 20 years ago to peruse the “American Dream” of a better life for his young son.  Education was culturally everything to him and he wanted the best for Alex. 

Alex is about to enter his final year of  graduate study at UF in Gainesville, to become a pharmacist.

More than an engineer, a restaurant manager, father, brother, friend and soul mate, Andrew was also an artist.  From the time he was little he charcoal sketched on anything and everything he could find. He never received formal education in drawing or languages.  He spoke four languages fluently; and was working on a fifth.  The trustee of the Andrew Tian Memorial Trust, is also entrusted with over 300 of his sketches illustrating the birth and development of an artist’s style.  Prints are available for purchase, or may be ordered.  All proceeds go directly to the trust fund.
