IMG Academy Stadium Tour & Talk Presented by Fawley Bryant Architects at Sarasota Area SPORTS Spotlight

In a continuing effort to connect and unite the greater Sarasota areas sports community, the

Sarasota Area Sports Alliance (SASA) in collaboration with the Sarasota County

Sports Commission (SCSC) is hosting its September

Sports Spotlight at IMG Academy

Stadium, 5694 47th St., W., Bradenton on Thursday, September 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is $15.  Attendees will receive one complimentary

beverage and light appetizers.  In

addition the first 100 RSVPs will also receive a complimentary ticket for the

Sept. 27th IMG Academy Football game against The First Academy at

7.30 p.m. in the new stadium.





  1. Chris Ciaccio, IMG Academy’s VP of marketing and sales,

    and Loren Seagrave, IMG’s director of track

    & field and cross country will welcome and tour interested attendees, highlighting

    the IMG Academy Stadium Phase I Reveal details and future plans.   This state-of-the-art

    stadium marks the first phase of expansion of IMG Academy’s new multi-sport

    complex.   The stadium features:   5000

    seats; a Bermuda grass surface with TV-ready lights; an 8-lane, 400m track and

    additional training area for jumps and throws; a broadcast-ready press box with

    coach, press, radio rooms and hospitality suites; and a collegiate-style video

    board.





Steve

Padgett, vice president & principal architect, Fawley Bryant, will introduce the event.  Padgett is the principal architect for the

design of IMG Academy’s campus expansion, which includes the recently completed

105,000 s.f. IMG Academy Residence Hall, and the 200-acre multi-sport complex,

as well as the 40,000 s.f. field house.





Said Steve Padgett, “The community

has begun to recognize the value of the sports performance industry as an

important economic engine that until recently was not fully capitalized

upon.  Fawley Bryant is working within

this industry to change the historic image of our region to one that is

youthful, vibrant and healthy.”  He

continues, “IMG Academy is the perfect business model for our community to

evolve and advance as the ultimate sports performance destination.”

The mission of the Sarasota Area

Sports Alliance (SASA), a 501 (c) 3, non-profit

organization, is to promote awareness and development of sports and athletes in

Sarasota and Manatee counties. This mission is primarily achieved through

hosting community outreach events, providing scholarships to student-athletes,

and connecting donors with recipients.  SASA works closely with community leaders, government

agencies and local businesses to assist in building awareness of the area as a

community committed to furthering sports programs locally, regionally,

nationally and internationally.
