While new technology and media platforms continue to
redefine the entertainment industry, one overlooked dimension is audio.
"From the iPad to the Kindle to an amazing range of podcasts, the demand
for voiceover talent is increasing," says John Burr, founder of John Burr
Voice Dynamics. Burr, a
professional voice coach, recording engineer and audio/video producer with over
30 years of experience, will be presenting a one-day Voiceover Basics Workshop
on Saturday, July 26, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at his recording studio in Sarasota.
The workshop will feature an overview of the 21st-century voiceover
industry, the basics of vocal technique, and critique sessions in commercial
and narration techniques. The fee is $100 and space is limited to 10 students. Those
interested in the workshop can register online by visiting www.johnburrvoice.com/signup.
