The Tree of Life Community Project is a year-long mission
project committed to educating and improving the welfare of the people in our
community.

Find out what's happening in Sarasotawith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Our Kickoff event will be at the Art Center
Sarasota on Sat., Nov. 23rd from 1:00 - 4:00 pm (Downtown Sarasota where 41
meets 10th Street).
We'll have delicious BarBQ dinners for sale,
fantastic raffle items from local businesses and restaurants, and over 250
live plants to give away
with a purchase of a dinner or a separate donation
to our 501c3 nonprofit organization: Second Chance, Last Opportunity.

Led by SCLO, individuals and local businesses will branch
together and bring their resources of time, ideas, supplies, space, and
knowledge to host both fundraising events in the community and educational
events for those whose lives need changing. These combined efforts support the
long-time mission of SCLO and will strengthen the possibility of its long-term
success.

Tree of Life Community Project Purpose:

To act as gardeners, providing positive light and
essential life nutrients to foster personal growth

To spread awareness of the needs of families in our
community

To educate those who have important life skills yet
to learn

To teach the values of good nutrition and healthy
living

To provide services to those who are in a time of
financial or emotional crisis

To direct others to unknown community resources

To help others envision a future beyond their
current status

To improve the life possibilities for future
generations

The Tree of Life Community Project enables local
businesses and individuals to play a meaningful role by helping to introduce
new possibilities and solutions to community problems, and therefore, enriching
people's lives.

Our goal is to host monthly special events where we bring
together diverse individuals with different strengths and resources. There are
many ways in which you or your business can get involved.
