Goodwill Manasota Welcomes New Board Member

Steve Boone, chairman of the board of directors of Goodwill Manasota, is pleased to welcome Alexander L. (“Sandy”) Kirkpatrick as a new member of the board.

Originally from Princeton NJ, Kirkpatrick is a graduate of Princeton University (A.B. Politics, 1966) and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He spent most of his career in Denver, Colorado, and held positions in commercial lending and equipment leasing with United Bank of Denver, Bank of America and First National Bank of Chicago. Additionally, he was president of Franklin Financial Services, the sales finance subsidiary of an oilfield equipment company. In 1985, he founded Kirkpatrick Energy Associates, Inc., a specialized investment bank serving the oil and gas industry from offices in Denver, Dallas, and Houston. While in Denver, Kirkpatrick served on the board of Colorado Outward Bound School and was treasurer and a board member of Denver Botanic Gardens.

In 2000, Kirkpatrick moved to Bradenton, became a licensed real estate agent and facilitated commercial real estate transactions through Michael Saunders & Company for seven years before retiring. He has served on the boards of Bradenton Kiwanis, United Way of Manatee County (and its Foundation), Manatee Chamber of Commerce (and its Foundation), Manatee Economic Development Council, and Manatee Community Foundation. He is currently on the board of Turning Points (formerly Community Coalition on Homelessness).

"Sandy Kirkpatrick is a strong new addition to our current outstanding team of directors,” said Boone. “His dedication to our mission to remove barriers to employment for people who want to improve their work skills and gain financial independence is clear, and we look forward to his service." 

Bob Rosinsky, president and CEO of Goodwill Manasota praised Kirkpatrick’s history of working with collaborative organizations and said, “Sandy understands our philosophy of pooling community resources to offer people in need a hand up, and we look forward to working with him on the board.”
