Goodwill's the Place for Screamin' Halloween Deals

According to the National Retail Federation, nearly 158 million Americans will celebrate everything ghoulish and spooky this Halloween – and spend almost $7 billion doing it. That’s why Goodwill Manasota is announcing a plan to help consumers put together the perfect costume at a price that won’t scare their bank accounts.

“The best way to save is to use your imagination,” said Bob Rosinsky, president & CEO of Goodwill Manasota. “Our vast selection of unique, donated items and new goods can help theHalloween ‘Do-it-Yourselfers’ (DIYers) and bargain hunters put together an awe-inspiring, one-of-a-kind costume that is affordable,” said Rosinsky.

Halloween shoppers looking to bypass the high-cost costume shops and mall retailers will find one of the largest and most varied selections of costumes in the area, along with all of the accessories needed to complete their spooktacular look, at Goodwill. Most costume apparel pieces at Goodwill range in price from $3.99 to $14.99. Accessory prices range from $0.99 to $9.99.

There are added benefits to shopping at Goodwill too. When consumers purchase pre-packaged costumes, they run the risk of having the same costume as someone else. At Goodwill, they can find fresh items every day that can be made into unique costumes, such as princess dresses, cowboy attire, clothing from different eras, and more. In addition, Goodwill offers consumers the bonus of supporting programs and services in our community.

“By choosing to shop at Goodwill for Halloween, people can feel good that they are helping to keep clothing and other items out of local landfills, and that they are supporting vital services and programs for their neighbors who are blind, visually impaired or have other barriers to independence,” said Rosinsky.
